Nope. Australia and America do not have the same laws, therefore you will have to get your degree in America to practice law here.

if you want to be admitted to practice law in the US you generally must attend an ABA-accredited school, which means a school located in the US. Besides, if you go to law school in Australia they will teach you Australian law, which is not quite the same as American law.

You may be able to sit for the bar in the state you want to practice in. It is actually the license that allows you to practice law and I believe in many states you can sit for the bar without having attended law school. So you would certainly be able to sit for those exams. The other option you have is international law, so your background in Australian law would be very relevant for any corporation working within the UK system. DA
