I have a car that I could sell for about $3500. Plane ticket won't be what it is from the states, cause I'm in Guam. Have you done it or known someone who has? You have to have $18,000 AUD per year for living expenses. Could I get loans for that? Without credit? Finding the answers to these questions online has been challenging.

The most important thing is visa, if you have one you money enought to live some time untill you get a job. But if you don't have it, yo can not even enter this country without having enougth funds.

You need to prove that you have enough money for the first year of university (20K) plus the first 6 months living expenses. If you do not have this (and evidence that the money is not a recent acquisition) you will not be granted a student visa. You will only be eligible for student loans from your own country - not Australia. Also Australian universities do not have scholarships available to international students under a PhD so you will need to find your own funding for the degree.
