i'm a second year biomed student in uni of melb. i don't think my dad would be able to support me all the way through grad med. so i need qte a big loan (100+ thousand aud). is that in any way possible in aust? i'm an international student, no residency visa. any help would be welcome!

If you are an international student you will not be able to get a loan from any Australian bank. Only PR or citizens can do that although a loan to support yourself while studying is unheard of. You will need to do what other do - that is work for a couple of years, save the money and then pay your own way. As an international student you will have to complete your intern year in your home country anyway so you will not be getting a complete degree from one of our universities.
