What courses do u need to do secondary school teaching (in Australia)

What courses do u need to do secondary school teaching (in Australia)?
I was thinking of going to UWS and I need to know what courses I need to undertake? Also how much fees will be? and what courses I'll need to do if I just do primary teaching. I'm 22 and have completed courses in training and assessment if they help with anything? can't u do HECS instead of paying upfront?

The Cert IV is meaningless with regards to primary and high school teaching. You will need either 1) Bachelor of Education, or 2) Bachelor of X plus a Graduate Diplomain Education , or 3) Bachelor of Education (Primary). Each is a 4 year process.

At UWS, the Bachelor of Arts (Pathways to Teaching Primary) is a three year full time undergraduate degree. It will allow you to complete an Education Studies major, gaining the necessary learning areas to satisfy the NSW Institute of Teachers discipline knowledge requirements for entry into further studies in teaching. Graduates of the Bachelor of Arts (Pathways to Teaching Primary) who wish to become qualified Primary teachers, continue with the postgraduate Master of Teaching (Primary). The Masters course is offered at the Bankstown campus and is available one year accelerated mode or one and a half years full time. The consecutive combination of an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts (Pathways to Teaching Primary) degree and postgraduate Master of Teaching (Primary) qualification will give you direct access to a teaching career with improved prospects for career advancement. Unless you have a scholarship, you will be paying a yearly HECS fee of $5,422. You can pay it off as a HECS debt but it is cheaper to pay up front...if you can afford it!
