Which are the best culinary schools in Australia

Which are the best culinary schools in Australia?
I am a high school senior in Washington, DC and I am considering becoming a chef. I would like to go to school in Australia (either Sydney or Melbourne), but I dont know anything about any culinary schools in Australia. Which are the most prestigious, which are new and trendy, how much do they all cost, etc? Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

Le Cordon Bleu !!! Thats where I go! they have campuses all over the entire world, and tuition is going to be different in another country but here in america tuition is 42k a year if you are doing associates degree and 80k if you are a bachelors student. le cordon bleu is world wide and an amazing school that is linked through the mother school in paris, france.

sure.... Scone is the horse capital of the Southern Hemisphere.. it is located in the Hunter Valley about 2 hours drive west from Newcastle in New South Wales..... There is plenty of wealthy people around the area and I'm sure there would be a quality boarding school somewhere. summary: you want a school in Scone.

There is one in NSW that is called NEGS (New England Girls School). It is located just outside of Armidale. The facilities include an all weather indoor arena, a jumping arena, a cross country course, a polo crosse field and stables. The Equestrian Centre offers riding tuition to students from Kindergarten to Year 12, from the basics of learning to ride and care for a horse to a Board Endorsed course in Primary Industries (Agriculture-Horses) for students in Years 11 & 12. Students may board their own horse at NEGS or the Equestrian Centre can provide horses for students to ride. Some more infomation can be found at http://www.negs.nsw.edu.au/index.phpoption=com_content&task=blogsection&id=11&Itemid=227

Unless the text books are included in the fees, which they aren't generally in Australia and this is for secondary school, for new text books depending on the year level generally between $500 - $1000. You can save a few hundred dollars if you can by second hand text books. Generally scientific calculator aren't more than $20, but when you need to buy a graphics calculator it's about $200.

Hi I work in a primary school in Queensland. You will be starting in a high school grade 8 or 9. What state and school will you be attending that should give everyone a bit more info to answer you. You might even find someone on here that goes to the school already. Just be yourself the English accent will go a long way with the girls lol :) kids are kids anywhere you go there are good and bad nasty and kind. If you are starting in grade 8 it will be easier for you as most kids will be new to the high school aswel. You can email me if you have more questions I have a son in high school grade 10.

hey ! my best friend did the exactly the same thing, she was english and move to australia. let my tell you a bit about what happened to her. she started in a primary school and most of the kids wanted her to talk all the time, because of her accent, they thought it was so strange. after a while she dropped her accent. she did fine friend wise, usually a teacher will introduce you to a kid or two and you can go round with them until you settle in. don't freak out or anything, it will be okay. i live in australia obviously and all the people hear are friendly! don't worry about the little things, conversations will start naturally, just be your self . don't lie to everyone to sound cool or whatever. they will be very interesting in england and you will probably make allot of good friends ! i can tell you i think english people rock ! hope i help, really have fun in oz !
