autrallian kids should be well behaved bc most of the kids there live by strict rules. idk how much private school is, but it is prob. cheap bc it is in a 'foreign' country. . should be alot of kids bc the population is mainly east so some kids from west go to eastern private shools too. they might have groups, just see for yourself. have fun!!!

G'day I_Reyes, I'd be more than happy to talk with you about my experiences at school in Australia. Please, drop me a line! [rfi92526(at)bigpond.net.au or day-juice(at)hotmail.com] To BRIEFLY answer your questions; The Australian standard of education is rather pitiful. Most curricula are lacking and teachers often incompetant. If this at all concerns you, I would seek an alternative (to public education). Private schools are rather expensive. But, one can complete VCE at TAFE, opt for correspondance learning, virtual or home school. There are also tech. schools and art schools in some states. The grading system has recently been revised. To earn an A you must be two years ahead of your peers. And, as Australian schools are all about "...no child being left behind...", expect to see mostly C's. Students are very friendly. At my old school, everyone had their groups, but at the same time mingled. If you're not a total ass, you probably have nothing to worry about. Hope I could help, Michaela. ;)
