I am in 10th grade and want to study abroad in Australia (I am from America) with either a host family or at a private boarding school. I have been to Australia many times, but I have no clue what their school system is like. Is it true that they don't let you wear makeup? What is a typical day like? At the private schools, are you allowed to have non-supervised free days on the weekends?

You are very much allowed to wear make up here, but if you cake it on too thick, everyone will call you a cake face or worse [lol] like everywhere else around the world. A typical day is going to your classes, recess, lunch etc. I'm not too sure about private schooling, because they are so up themselves and snooty its not funny. Well, it is very different here. You have to wear a uniform, makeup is allowed, just not in excessive amounts and the same with jewellery. You dont get a locker, you have to carry your stuff around with you. i dont know to much about boarding schools either because they are really stuck up. apart from that the schools are reasonable laid back and they have high standards
