I am an international student looking for a 1-2 year journalism or other communications program. Mostly all I have come across are 3 years is there anything that's a little less?

G'day, In Australia, there are 2 levels of study after Year high school that you can do. One is uni and the other is college. You mentioned that most of the courses you've come across are 3yrs, so I assume that you were looking at the universities courses. However, if you only want to study 1-2 yrs course, you may want to look at the courses offered by TAFE colleges. TAFE are government-owned institutions, fully accredited and equally recognised, so you do not have to worry abt the quality. They offers certificate and diploma courses all over Australia.
