What are the prerequisites for primary school teaching in Australia?
I'm thinking about being primary school teacher when I leave school and I need to know whether you have to study Maths Studies in high school. I'm not exactly that good at maths so I want to do Maths Applications which is simpler than Maths Studies. Any information is great :)

To become a primary teacher you usually have to study primary school teaching or education at university. Alternatively, you can undertake a postgraduate qualification specialising in primary education after completing a degree with relevant study areas. To get into these courses you usually need to pass your TEE. Prerequisite subjects, or assumed knowledge, in one or more of English and mathematics are normally required. Entry to postgraduate courses usually requires a relevant bachelor degree. The various universities have different prerequisites and some have flexible entry requirements.
