In Australia, what is the difference between the Master of Commerce degrees and the MBA degrees

In Australia, what is the difference between the Master of Commerce degrees and the MBA degrees?
I noticed that they offer both of those degrees. The Master of Commerce degrees in Australia are awarded by the Faculty of Business and Economics of the respective school for the most part, at times by the business school. The MBA is always awarded by the Business School of that school. Both degrees are really expensive. What is the main difference between these two degrees and how are they regarded? How would employers in the US for instance distinguish between the Master of Commerce from Australia and the MBA from there? Note, the Master of Commerce is NOT an MS degree. It is a Master in Business. Almost all schools in Australia have it such as Monash, Queensland, Sydney, Macquarie etc. In the States this degree doesn't exist at all.

The MBA is a general business degree training students for top level management positions up to CEO or for those with entrepreneurial objectives of starting their own business. The Master of Science is a specialized degree in a particular field such as finance, chemistry, accounting, engineering, etc. training students for top level staff and research positions who prefer not to get into general management. The Official MBA Guide provides a lot of information about the MBA degree and MBA schools and programs. It's a comprehensive free public service with more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. It allows you to search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc.), by concentration (finance, marketing, aviation management, health management, accounting, etc.), by type of program (full-time, distance learning, part-time, executive, and accelerated), and by listing your own criteria and preferences to get a list of universities that satisfy your needs. Schools report their accreditation status, tuition cost, number of students, class sizes, program length, and a lot of other data. Schools provide data on entrance requirements, program costs, program characteristics, joint degrees, and much more. You can use the Guide to contact schools of your choice, examine their data, visit their web site, and send them pre applications. You can see lists of top 40 schools ranked by starting salaries of graduates, GMAT scores, and other criteria. It's the best service available at http://officialmbaguide.org.

You are going to have to look hard to find a Master of Science course majoring in accounting. A Master of Commerce is not a Master of Business, It is a Master of Commerce. If it was a master of Business, that is what you would be awarded when you finished. Why an MBA is a generalist Degree, A MComm tends to focus on one area of management or business such as economics, acounting, fincnance or marketing.

Master of Commerce is not a Master of Business pc

The Australian MBA is management degree, designed for those intending to move into senior management positions. An MBA can be entered by anyone holding a previous degree in any discipline eg a lot of engineers do an MBA as they move into senior management roles. The master of commerce degree is a masters degree in which you can specialise in ecconomics/accounting/finance etc. It can only be entered if you hold a previous bachelors degree in one of these areas. So ...which to choose ? Choose an MBA if you are looking for advanced management training. Choose an MCom. if you are looking for higher level studies in accounting.ecconomics,finance. Both forms of degrees are very well regarded by employers, and Australia has several world-ranked universities/business schools..viz; Melbourne, Monash, ANU, Sydney, NSW, Queensland. Hope this helps.

You will be one of the shortest girls in school, but you will have a lot of girls very envious of your weight. Honestly, I do not think your personal appearance will cause any problems and if anyone comments, their is an aussie saying that good things come in small packages!
